Scientific research project “Cognitive and formal representation of spatial and temporal structures"

Study aims to explore the impact of spatial object form features (such as symmetry, proportions, size) on their relations as perceived and represented cognitively. Further, study will also focus on temporal objects such as events and processes (representing object transformations in time). A mathematical/formal language (similar to but significantly extending the formalisms such as Region Connection Calculus in case of space or Interval Algebra in case of time) with its corresponding models will be developed. These models will be tested empirically in applying correlative research designs and experiments.

This project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for Post-doc projects grant agreement No 1.1.1.2/VIAA/3/19/506.
